Vehicle Wrap and Graphics Checklist

We’re going to assume that you’re reading this blog because you’ve decided to get some graphics, or maybe even a full wrap, on your company vehicle and need a little inspiration. As discussed in previous posts, we believe that this is the ultimate traditional marketing tactic, but it could potentially harm your business rather than help.


The thing is, your vehicle graphics or wrap is a representation of your business. Therefore, you’re going to want to use a wrapping company that’ll do a good job of it. That’s obvious. But when it comes to the actual design, it can be hard to decide what to include. Having a detailed description of what your company does, paired with benefits and customer testimonials will be too much for passers-by to read. People will have mere seconds, if that, to take in your message.



Below, we’ve listed what we believe to be the absolute essentials when it comes to vehicle wraps and graphics:


Company Name

This one is pretty obvious. People need to know who you are, so make sure that’s displayed clearly.



A strong brand or logo is important when people spend exactly 0.3 seconds looking at your vehicle as you drive past at 30 mph. We all take in images much faster than text, so it’s important that your logo or branding is striking and grabs their attention. That’s why we have Larry The Lizard!


One Method of Contact

In an ideal world, you’d love it if people would see your branded vehicle and instantly contact you to purchase. While this may be wishful thinking in many cases, it is still very important to display at least one way people can contact you for an enquiry or even just make a note for later. A phone number is preferable, but an email address will also suffice.


Website Address

If your design is attention-grabbing enough, people will often want to research your business further, before committing to a purchase right away. The number one place people will look is your website and it is up to you to make it as easy for them as possible, especially if you’re struggling to show up on Google’s search results.

It can also be worth including social media links, too. These are extra ways people can find out more information about you, but an official website is the best tool you have for converting enquiries to sales.


A Short List of Services

There are a lot of companies out there that provide an endless list of ‘General Services’. But as we’ve mentioned before, the public has sometimes less than a second to take in all the information you have on your vehicle, so if your company does more than just one thing, you’d better keep the list short. Choose your top 3-5 most popular, or highest profit-margin, services and list them on your vehicle.



Applying graphics and wrapping your company vehicles allows your brand to be seen by up to 3,000 per hour and can reach areas that other methods of advertising can’t. To put a spin on traffic jams, which we all hate, vehicle wraps and graphics can allow your drivers to advertise your business to passers-by, rather than just losing time.
